Brief Answer:
Early stage of condyloma accuminatum? Observe
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, very early stage of Condyloma acuminatum may be possible.
Usually this occurs in clusters (Involvement of more than 1 area rather than one is more common) and hard to touch with filiform, fungating, cauliflower, or
plaque like presentation. Since you presented with only one lesion with acute onset with out much elevated typical surface, our diagnoses may be wrong.
For my patients with condyloma acuminatum I usually rule out
STD like
HIV as this can spread faster in immunosuppresive patients. Treatment is based on the type of lesion, involves agents that directly ablate the lesions (eg, surgical excision, chemical ablation, and
cryotherapy).
Since your lesion is very early and small you need to observe it with regular outpatient followup to rule out any complication and if the size grows with typical elevated presentation the ablation the lesion can be done. The chance of recurrence of lesion after ablation is also present.
There is no permanent cure and in many patients this won't grow further. So observation is the key just to check for its growth and any complication. You should ask your partner also to check for any lesion as it more commonly spread through intercourse. Use condoms during sex.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries.
Wish you good health and faster recovery.
Regards
