Brief Answer:
I do not think those sores are something else

Detailed Answer:
Hello ma'am and welcome.

Thank you for writing to us.

I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Let me start by talking about the sores you are experiencing around your hairline, these are most probably due to a change in the oil produced by the scalp. The oil changes in and around the scalp can be attributed to a hormonal imbalance in women.

With that being said, I would like to mention that there are a number of factors that can cause a hormonal balance in women, like:
-Stress
-Birth control
-Pregnancy
-Medications
-Infections
and a few others.

So from that information you know that any/all infections can result in a hormonal imbalance in women. So the infection that you have been diagnosed with is not directly associated with the sores around your hairline but is indeed indirectly related to the infection because the infection caused the hormonal imbalance, and the hormonal imbalance caused the oil imbalance that resulted in the sores around your hairline.

Independently, sores are the hairline cannot be associated with any STDs ma'am, so please do not worry. So as of now, the diagnosis can continue to be bacterial vaginosis. I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.

Best wishes.
