What Do Subarticular Cystic Changes Seen Involving Head Of Humerus And Glenoid Mean?
Reduction of space between joint space on left shoulder and marginal osteophyte formation?
What is the treatment suggested when surgery is not possible.
Degenerative changes in shoulder joint.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The subarticular cystic changes and the osteophyte formation and reduced joint space- all these are age related degenerative changes in the shoulder joint. These are related to the wear and tear of the joint. IN case the surgery is not possible then regular pain killers are needed to control the pain. Oral muscle relaxants can also help in case there is a restriction of activity and stiffness. You can also start with joint lubricant supplements and a regular physiotherapy to further retard the progression of these joint degenerative changes.
I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health.
