What Do Swollen Node Between Neck And Shoulder Indicate?
Question: I recently went to the doctor for a swollen node located between my neck and my shoulder I have blood work done and all that came back normal when I went to the ultrasound the ultrasound tech told me that if you saw anything concerning he would call the doctor immediately otherwise he would send me on my way. My Dr office just called me she said I have an abnormal lymph node she said something about a lesion the node in a lesion and that they wanted to do a CT scan. Does this mean that I have cancer

What led to this conclusion of an abnormal node? we don't know. It could have been the size, structure, etc. However, I am happy you would be following up on this. More testing would provide information as to whether this is cancer or not. There are several causes of abnormal node: infections, drugs, no identified cause, cancers, inflammatory conditions, etc. It would be best to push a little further before knowing what is actually going on.
Lymph nodes can be related to cancers but, with no other symptoms is some what not typical. Cancers generally cause night sweats, weight loss, body weakness, loss of appetite, general body malaise, etc. Unfortunately, you have not reported any of these symptoms and rating cancers high up without any other symptom is not very evident a this time.
I will like you to stay calm. Follow up with the investigations and let's see what the final conclusion is. Should this happen to be cancer, something I very much doubt and seems very unlikely, it must be in the early stages that can benefit from aggressive treatment with excellent results.
