What Do The Following Blood Test Reports Indicate?
He just diagnosed me with Polycythemia Vera does this seem correct. The CBC he just ran showed my MPV 6.9 (L), MON# .6 (H), GRA% 67.7 (H) & GRA# 6.3 (H). My blood levels are always all over the place, does any of this make sense to you because I am very confused.
You should go for jak 2 mutation and repeat CBC.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have high rbc count, hb and hematocrit. So you have polycythemia that is final.
However you should go for confirmation about polycythemia vera. Because in some cades your polycythemia may be spurious due to other cause like dehydration.
You should go for repeat Complete blood count test and jak 2 mutation study.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Regular phlebotomy is the most effective treatment. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.

My Iron was 183
Ferritin was 616.2
Iron Saturation Percent was 75.62 % saturation
What could possibly cause this and do I need to be concerned about another medical condition?
You should go for erytropoitin and jak 2 mutation study.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have high iron and ferritin level. It is very uncommon in polycythemia. In polycythemia iron level is usually low.
So you should rule out secondary polycythemia first.
So go for erythropoitin level and jak 2 mutation as I said earlier.
Then we will search for the cause of high iron.
Till that regular phlebotomy is helpful.
