What Do The Following Lab Test Result Indicate?

All other results reported were within range the report says. I've never had any abnormal results before so was just curious what these abnormal could indicate. I am a female -59 yrs old. Thank you.
low creatinine normally caused by decrease in muscle mass
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic
(1) monocytes are a type of white blood cell ( the WBC) and are not interpreted on their own meaning that the WBC value has to be looked at as well to see if this is in the normal range
The breakdown under the WBC is to say how many of the different types of white blood cells are present.
Your present monocytes are below the normal range. A decrease in monocytes is called monocytopenia.
This can be due to less serious causes such as stress or more serious causes such as types of leukemia.
In some persons may be due to infections.
Leukemia would cause other changes in the white cell count so if these are normal then it is not likely at all.
Since it is previously normal and the other parts of the white cell is normal then your doctor may choose to repeat and monitor.
(2)bun/creat ratio is increased because the creatinine has decreased as compared to the bun
The decrease in the creatinine means that when it divides into the bun,the ratio would be higher.
A decrease in creatinine usually do not indicate any problems, it is more commonly due to a low muscle mass.
Summary: (1) if the over white cell count is normal then it is unlikely the decrease in monocytes on its own is significant
Your doctor may monitor
(2)low muscle mass is the main cause of a decrease in creatinine, the decrease in creatinine would cause the ratio to increase
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
