Brief Answer:
please see details.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

1. Any report is best interpreted in light of clinical circumstances. If you have any trouble /symptoms/ clinical disease, please share it. It would be worthwhile to know that why these tests were done?

2. The HDL levels are 31 mg% which should normally be >40 mg% as per guidelines. However, the HDL levels alone are not important determinants of cardiovascular events. Moreover, in presence of low LDL levels and low cholesterol levels, their importance decreases further. However the methods to increase HDL level include regular exercise and intake of fish (if you are non-vegetarian). No drug treatment or fish oil capsule should be taken for increasing HDL.

3. Uric acid is marginally increased which do not require any modification in absence of clinical gout and uric acid stones. It usually increases in persons who take high protein diet like pulses and non-vegetarian food items. A moderation of these items will bring levels to normal.

4. I would like to draw your attention to your post prandial glucose level which is 173 mg%. This indicates impaired glucose tolerance. You must get HbA1C levels done and also get a post 75 mg glucose level (after taking 75 mg of glucose with water on empty stomach, get your level checked after 2 hours). This will give us exact status of your glucose tolerance.

Sincerely
Sukhvinder

Thanks Doctor.

I usually do General Health check every year or so, I used to smoke regularly but I have given it up for last 30 days or so. I consume alcohol every week, however it usually a beer or two, hot drinks consumption on very rare occasion.

Twice so far, 4-5 weeks before, I observed breathing difficulty during sleep, because of which I've quit smoking and while alcohol consumption has not stopped or frequency changed.

Breathing difficulty was there for more than 3-4 hours; However, was able to get sleep subsequently.

I also have constipation problem.

Off-late, I have started to do walking or swimming.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir
1. For impaired post prandial glucose and for low HDL levels , I have already advised you.
2. For Uric acid levels, no intervention is warranted currently as there are no symptoms suggestive of gout.
3. For constipation, try to consume a lot of fruits/ vegetables and salads like cucumber/ radish/ carrot. Take adequate amount of water and do regular exercise.
4. For evaluation of breathlessness and constipation, do see a physician.
Sincerely
Sukhvinder
