I uploaded more x-rays
Brief Answer:
Please don't worry.
Detailed Answer:
I think you have compiled three years after operation, first tell me if you have any x-rays done after operation, any complain after operation or you develop your complain gradually .If you develop your problems gradually than it is possible than bone spur will appears later on.Now if you will have again revision surgery than there is no guarantee that you will be problem free as you are having spur on c6-c7,c2-c3and mainly c4 level. So kindly take care and take decision by cool mind.

I had first fusion 2006 then in 2013 I was told the 2006 fusion was unsuccessful and also had a bonespur over plate of first fusion. Trusted the 2nd surgeon 2013 had the surgery for second surgery. Immediately had more pain and discomfort. Then in 2014 I found out by a neuro surgeon that first fusion in his opinion was a solid fusion and he informed me the bonespur was still there. Then I come home to family and my cousin tells me well the surgeon of second fusion told us that it was pointless for him to do revision but he did that I'd be back in 6mos for another surgery cause the pressure of hardware will make other disk weak and he didn't remove bonespur. The Dr. Never told me anything of the sort. I'm in constant pain numbness down arms. My muscle was severed then tore and now having problems even problems holding head up. All because of second fusion. Should a fusion be done when you have spondylosis
Brief Answer:
Fusion is done in severe spondylosis.
Detailed Answer:
If the spondylosis is severe when the neck movements are painful, in such cases, fusion is done. If the second surgery failed to remove the spurs and the hardware itself can press the disc then a revision is needed.
The formation of bone spurs is a continuous age related degenerative process. Even after the revision surgery it is possible that after 4-5 years new bone spurs appear.
But for the time being since you have a severe pain it is best to get a revision surgery done.
Regards.

The first x-rays I sent you are of my neck that were taken in the beginning of 2013 that was the hardware of the 2006 surgery. Did i have the bonespurs in the first xrays? The second set of x-rays are after surgery in sept 2013 can you tell me the hardware that was put in second surgery what is it doing for me.
Brief Answer:
The osteophytes were not removed in second surgery.
Detailed Answer:
After the initial surgery, all the osteophytes were removed. There are no osteophytes in first post op X-rays. These osteophytes developed later which were not removed after fixation of the second surgery. The osteophytes are still present and need to be removed to get a pain relief.
Regards
