Brief Answer: Some more information might be more helpful. Detailed Answer: HiXXXXXX ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query. It could have been of help to both you and me if you could have been a bit more elaborative in describing your detailed history, and for what complaints of yours you got these tests done. If I were your doctor, with this investigation report of yours, I would investigate you more for some infection anywhere. As a known case of asthma, I would look first for any respiratory infection, and then look for any other systemic infection depending on your detailed history. I might advise you for a urine routine/microscopic test followed by culture sensitivity test if need be. I can not think of any other fever profile tests without any specific history from you. Also I would like to investigate you for a low hemoglobin of 9.4 in your case. I would like to have the history if any of loss of blood from any site. As a whole, it is difficult to arrive at any conclusion in the absence of greater details about your medical condition. However, you could go for a hematinic (iron preparation) till other investigations are on its way. I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts. Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.

Brief Answer: A scanned copy of the report would be helpful Detailed Answer: Hi ! Nice to listen from you so soon. My regrets for being mistakenly taking the WBC count as Hb%. However, it would be helpful if you could please scan the report and send as an attachment, as the units are still not clear in the present report. Also, please let me know why this test was done. Being on Ibuprofen would not alter the reports as such. You can continue it till your doctor advises you, but I would also add a proton pump inhibitor to it. Thanks.

Report has been uploaded This is my regularly scheduled 6 month routine blood work. My doctor feels I need to be checked every six months since my cholesterol is elevated.

Brief Answer: Almost a normal report except for the lipid values Detailed Answer: Hi ! Good morning. I went through your blood reports. Most of the values apparently looks to be within normal limits, except for the absolute neutrophil count, which might increase in any kind of infection. However, if you are asymptomatic, and the test was done as a routine only, this might not be very significant. Both your total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol are high, and this needs some attention. I am not aware if your treating doctor has started any antilipidimic drug for you or not. In any case, I would advise you to have regular exercises within your medical permissible limits, add more of vegetables, salads, roughage, and enough liquids in your meals, and avoid red meat, and other fatty food, specially fast food from outside. Thanks and take care. Dr Shareef.
