That's all that was written on his discharge summary... he spent several days in hospital with low saturations also had a diagnosis of rsv.. could u be specific on what areas are not within lines and what it could possably mean please. I know the crp are infection levels where high... but the rest I have no idea what means thanks
Brief Answer:
Investigations suggest viral infection i.e. RSV.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
RSV stands for respiratory syncytial virus and children are prone get this viral infection.
Viral infections are characterized by fever, low platelets, low total leukocyte count, high CRP, low oxygen saturation etc.
His report shows low platelets and low total leucocytes. However, these parameters return to normal as the infection subsides.
High CRP indicates inflammation in body.
The creatinine, urea, calcium and phosphate levels vary largely based on the lab specific units, thus can be interpreted only when units are provided.
Feel free to ask further
Thanks and take care
