Question: blood sugar after very light lunch, two hours ago, …is 136.

Am i close to diabetes?

The diagnosis for diabetes is a fasting blood sugar greater than 126 and a 2 hour post meal blood sugar greater then 160. So at this time you do no have diabetes.

If you are overweight then I recommend losing weight and start an regular exercise program. For exercise regular walking 30 minutes daily is sufficient.
