Brief Answer:
Related to tooth infection..

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your query, and the medical papers attached, it is clearly written that there has been infection with your upper molar and premolar teeth that has caused infection in the maxillary sinuses leading to the symptoms that you are facing..

The roots of upper teeth lies in close contact with the floor of the maxillary sinuses and at times the root ends can even present almost within the sinus..

If there is infection in the teeth then it can progress in the area below the root tips of the teeth leading to infection in the sinuses causing the symptoms similar to that you are facing..

So the cause in your case seems to be tooth infection..

The procedure very much falls under dental treatment and is carried out by Oral Surgeons..

So you have been treated correctly as per the description in your discharge papers..

So do not worry about it and follow the medications and follow up visits with your doctor so that he can assess the progress..

Please write back for further queries..

Regards.
