Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
Cloudy urine, occult blood 2+,WBC estrease1+ findings in urine is not normally seen and they might be indicative of some infection in urine probably urinary tract infection or infection in bladder or may be in kidneys but it must be co-related to clinical symptoms of the individual.
So,before going into further discussion I would like to ask some more information from you.
Do you have any burning or pain during urination?
Do you have a higher frequency of urine recently?
Have you have noticed reddish urine (blood in urine)?
Also provide me whole blood and report by attaching those files which will be helpful for me.
Awaiting your response.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
Yes I do have a slight burning sensation during urination, but not a higher frequency and no blood. But my Dr has told me before that I have microscopic traces of blood in my urine.
I have to see if I can download the full report to send to you.
Blood (miscroscopic) in urine is not normal, so should be evaluated further.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome again.
You are having microscopic haematuria (microscopic blood in urine but not visible) with mild burning sensations during urination which can be found actually in multiple conditions like,
Urinary tract infection (acute cystitis),
Stones in kidney or bladder but chances are less in your case,
Kidney cyst or rarely tumor in kidney, ureter, bladder etc.
Therefore,if I were your treating doctor then I will advice you to do complete work to find out where/what is the cause of haematuria and to rule out the causes one by one.
Ask your doctor for following investigations if haematuria is persistent.
i) Complete hemogram, kidney function tests and Urine culture and routine Microscopic (to see if any infection is there).
ii) Sonography of both kidneys and pelvic area to rule out any tumour or stone.
iii) You might require cystoscopy (endoscopy of urinary bladder) if above investigations are inconclusive.
iv) Lastly to know about kidney functions your doctor may advice you intravenous pyelography (it's a procedure to understand how the kidneys are functioning).
Please also mentioned to your doctor whether you are taking any pain killers (apart from multi-vitamin supplements) recently or since a long time as they may also cause haematuria.
So,until we find the cause of haematuria nothing much can be said, but usually it's a benign condition and subsides when the cause will also be cured.
It's better to be concerned always but not to worry.
Meanwhile, ensure to drink more water to keep your urine dilute which will help to control hematuria.
Urine alkaliser like liquid citralka can also be taken (2 TSF thrice daily) for your burning urination.
Hope this will help you and let me know if you could upload full report.
