What Do These Health Check Up Reports Indicate?
Question: In Annual Health Checkup I got some pre-diabetic symptoms and glucose level was a bit high. After 8 month I again got blood tested on last staturday.
Now, the bood glucose, and TSH is fine.
But, followings seems on boarderline:
Glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1C) 5.50
Cholesterol(Total)/HDL Cholesterol Ratio 6.10
LDL Cholesterol/HDL Cholesterol Ratio 3.69
Triglycerides, serum by Enzymatic method 211
HDL Cholesterol, serum by Enzymatic method 30
8 months before Triglycerides was ~180 and HDl ~40
I am afraid of medication. Do I need to consult docor and take medication or should try exercise for some months?

Brief Answer:
Hba1c is ok, try diet and exercise
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Welcome to HCM. I understand your concerns.
Your HbA1c is normal. Above 5.7 is pre diabetes and above 6.5 is diabetes. Your value is normal.
For altered lipid parameters, you can try lifestyle modifications for 3 months and recheck your fasting lipid profile. If LDL cholesterol is still more than 130 mg/dl, you should start on medications
Hope I have answered your questions. If you have any further queries I will be happy to help you
