What Do These Lung CT Scan Findings Indicate?

My results are as follows.
Narrative:
There is a poorly defined large either density in the superior segment of the lower right lobe with some peripheral reticular nodular changes.
This does not have a typical appearance for neoplastic disease. It could be scarring or inflammartory.
By imaging studies patient had a Mastectomy of the right breast in October with pathology positive infilrating ductal carcinoma. The lungs are otherwise normal. No mediastinal or hilar adenopathy is seen. No axillary adenopathy is seen. No suspicious bone lesions are seen.
Impression:
Nonspecific nodular changes in the superior segment of the lower lobe.
Differential would include inflammatory changes. This is not typical apperence for neoplasm although with the recent diagnosis of breast neoplasm this should not be ruled out.
Do I need a lung biopsy at this time?
Yes, you should definitely get done bronchoscopic evaluation.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
With the background history of breast carcinoma, possibility of cancer is more for your lung lesion.
Other possibilities are infection and inflammation.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done bronchoscopic evaluation of the lesion.
This includes Bronchoscopy, XXXXXXX (bronchoalveolar lavage) and biopsy. XXXXXXX and biopsy will diagnose the lesion. These are diagnostic not only for malignancy but also for infection and inflammation.
So get done XXXXXXX and biopsy for diagnosis of lung lesion.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
