I am scared now please help.
No need of inducing labour at 38 weeks 5 days
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
I have reviewed your ultrasound report and it is completely normal. The fluid around the baby is completely normal (Amniotic fluid index normal range is 5-25 cm) and the baby weight of 3.5 kg is not very big ( more than 4 kg is considered big or macrosomic baby), though the weight is slightly more. There is absolutely no need of inducing the labour at 38 weeks 5 days of gestation, if there is no other maternal or fetal complication. You should, however, report to the doctor immediately if there is any pain, bleeding, leaking of fluid or decreased fetal movements. Caesarean section may be needed if the there is any difficulty in normal labour.
Hope you found the answer helpful. Please do get back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
