Brief Answer:
Physical examination/MRI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Bretusa,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

In background of shoulder injuries, a physical examination by an orthopaedic surgeon becomes mandatory in the present symptoms.

However, in view of neck issues, I suggest that a physical examination by a neurologist is also required. These symptoms may be related to cervical spine degenerative changes as well and a MRI of cervical spine may be required.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
