What Do Warm Sensation In The Vagina And White Creamy Discharge Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 26 Oct 2015
Question: I have been feeling warm in my vagina for last 2-3 days. My menstrual cycle got over on 27th September.
I did a finger test and checked myself, there was milky white creamy discharge on my finger. quite a bit of it.
Is it a UTI or a bacterial infection? I have a history of fungal infection and UTI, but have been clear past more than two years at least.

Vaginal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Feeling warmth in vagina and white vaginal discharge is indicative ofvvaginal infection. It can be bacterial or fungal.
I suggest you to get a vaginal swab examination done and get the antibiotics and antifungal treatment accordingly.
In the meantime, you can use candid CL vaginal pessaries once daily for three nights.

Brief Answer:
Can be taken

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, doxycycline is an oral drug which is given for genital infections. It can be safely taken with candid CL vaginal pessary. However, you seem to have only vaginal infection, hence doxycycline most probably will not be of added benefit.

Good Morning Dr. XXXXXXX

Am sorry to ask you so many questions. It is just that i think four times before taking allopathy as i have a sensitive stomach and currently recovering from stomach ulcer.

So is it fine if i don't have oral medicine and just use the pessary? the candid cl cream did give some relief when applied even just for a day.

Thank you,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Doxycycline not needed

Detailed Answer:
Good morning dear,
I am always here to help you with your health related issues, so you can ask your queries freely.
In my opinion, you don't need doxycycline as it is given for pelvic and genital infection, while you are having only vaginal infection.
Candid CL deals well with the local vaginal infection and will give you much relief.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
