What Do Weight Gain And Hair Loss While On Thyroid Medication?

Question: Hi, I was diagnosed with hypothyroid 1.5 years back. From last 4 months I am working out regularly and taking 50mcg thyronom, my results as of yesterday T3 1.66 pg/ml T4 12.34pg/ml, TSG 3.72 micro IU/ml. I am not loosing weight even after diet and exercise, but there is lot of hair loss. Do I continue 50mcg,or change the dose.
Brief Answer:
U may increase the dose to 62.5mcg /day
Detailed Answer:
Dear ma'm! Hi! your thyroid balance is adequate. u may continue same dose but if you are finding weight loss a challenge, u may increase the dose to 62.5 mcg. beyond thyroxine u will require more strict dieting and exercise. still you may add metformin 500 mg three times a day to lose weight. For hair fall, besides thyroxine you must add calcium, b12, and vitamin D. calcium 1 gm/day, b12 1500 mcg/day, vitamin D 60000 every week.
Regards
