Question: OK, HERE WE GO! I DID MOST ALL OF THE TEST IN RE THE HEART AND LAST TEST WAS DONE AT ST. BERNADINES HOSPITAL IN SAN BERNADINO COMPLETED YESTERDAY. THE THOUGHT WAS THEY MAY HAVE TO PUT IN A STENT AND I GOT ALL IN INFORMATION. WELL THEY GO IN THERE AND DISCOVERED LIKE 30% PLACQUE IN ONE VESSEL AND 80% BLOCKAGE IN ANOTHER AND THAT IS WHY FOR THE MOST PART THAT I AM SHORT OF BREATH WHEN PLAY TENNIS. I AM 71 PLAY TENNIS NOW AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK AND USE TO ( YEAR OR SO AGO) PLAYED 4 TIMES A WEEK AND SLOWLY BECAME WINDED AND OVER TIME ( LIKE 3-4 WEEKS AGO ) HAD A SHORTNESS OF BREATH ( IT WAS 103 DEGREES) AND I JUST ATTRIBUTED IT TO THE WEATHER AND MENTIONED TO MY CARDIOLIGIST AND THEN THE TEST STARTED. MY QUESTION WHAT IN YOUR OPINION IS THE NEXT STEP IN THIS PROCESS? IS IT MEDS TO BLOW OUT THE PLACQUE OR OPEN HEART SURGERY?? THATS IT. IN OTHER WORDS THE PROGNOSIS

I have gone through your query .Thanks for using HCM.
Whenever the block in artery is more than 70% it has to be tackled either with balloon angioplasty with stent or with a graft surgically .Block less than 70% should be managed by medicines.
In your case one block of 80% needs intervention .I need to look at your angio to tell you what is appropriate for you stent or graft.
But I presume that your block should be suitable for plasty with stent .your shortness of breath is because if this block of 80%.you must undergo the procedure to avoid heart attack in future due to this block.
