What Does "Assymetry Of Pituitary Towards Right Side" Mean?
what are the hormones produced/controlled by Pituitary? should I go for their test, MRI was done about 7-8 months
No further testing unless otherwise stated!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about these findings on MRI and all the disturbing thoughts that this has caused you. If that is all reported from the MRI with no description of any other abnormality, there is no reason to get worried. No need for any follow up testing unless it was clearly requested or new symptoms warrants more testing to be done.
The pituitary secretes regulatory hormones. They include Thyroid stimulating hormone, Follicule stimulating hormone, Gonadotropin releasing hormone, prolactin, oxytocin, vasopressin, etc. This is a vast terrain and unless you have a specific question that needs to be addressed, I cannot at this time go on talking about all these hormones.
In all, do not go for any further testing unless something new comes up. No pathology was reported and asymmetry alone warrants no further attention unless something more is suspected.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for ore information and clarifications if need be.
