is it a dangerous level till i get retested
Brief Answer:
cortisone levels vary
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
Cortisone levels go up and down throughout the day. So nothing can be said for sure until you get ACTH stimulation test. ACTH is the hormone that stimulates the secretion of cortisone from adrenal glands. If we give ACTH and cortisone levels are not increasing in response to it, then the adrenal glands are not secreting enough of cortisone. There can be many causes behind low cortisone. Thus we will also need to tests rule out some causes.
It is not dangerous and can easily be replaced with cortisone externally.
