Brief Answer:
Values are within normal range.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing back with an update.

Your concern is understood.
These tests are done on millions of people and then standardized. The reference values are concluded after rigorous testing in every population in the world.

Having a borderline value in HbA1C is perfectly acceptable internationally. It shows the blood sugar average level in 120 days. Diabetes is completely ruled out in your wife.

Regarding thyroid function tests, every person is not expected to have the same balance between TSH, free T3 and free T4 levels. With values as in your wife, there is no chance of thyroid dysfunction. Her levels of T 3 and T 4 are just above lower limits of normal and with these values TSH has to be just below upper limits of normal which is being observed.

I assure you everything is normal.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
