What Does A 2,000-calorie Diet Look Like?
I'm 6ft, weigh around 170-180lbs.
I don't like to weigh myself as it can flucuate by 5-10lbs depending on food, I use my jeans as a good indicator. I feel as though I might be losing or maintaing weight. I don't want to lose more weight, but also don't want to gain. I am not active have an office job, but try to burn 100 calories most days on the exercise machine.
Yes,you can take 2000 k-calories per day
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
As per your height and weight your BMI would be around 25 which is very much in the normal range.
Our daily requirement is around 2500 k-cal (for men) per day to maintain our body weight with balanced diet.
But you may take up to 2000 kilo-calories per day (considering your sedentary/office job) from which requirement of protein should be approximately 60 grams per day and carbohydrates 300 grams per day.
You should take diet as per your routine diet schedule like morning breakfast; afternoon lunch and evening dinner.
You can take daily 2 boiled eggs in which egg white portion is a good source of protein and egg yellow or egg yolk is a rich source of fats and omega-3 fatty acids which will help to maintain healthy weight.
Apart from protein, you should also have sufficient carbohydrates in your diet as they are also high source of energy.
I would further advise you to take fruits and green leafy vegetables also because they are having nutrients like vitamins and minerals which is equally necessary for our health.
Exercises like daily jogging, cycling, running and skipping would be good for at least half an hour daily which is not difficult to do routinely.
As you are young (just 28),there is no need to worry much about weight.
Wishing good health.
Regards,
welcome.
