Brief Answer:
Consult a physician for medical advise, follow personal care

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXX,
Thanks for the query. I have read & understood your problem.
Blood pressure is expressed in two figures, Systolic blood pressure is pressure exerted in arteries while heart muscles contract & try to eject the blood out of heart.. to reach all body parts.Normally it ranges from 120 - 100.
Diastolic blood pressure indicates pressure of blood in arteries when heart muscles are relaxing. Normally it ranges from 80 to 60.
* Your wife had varied blood pressure ranging from 110/70 to 80/43. Was the difference observed after changing her posture? ( Standing up suddenly from a lying down position or vice versa) This condition is called postural hypo tension.
- To some people blood pressure lower than normal is habitual .. They are well adjusted to the condition & they do not show any evident cause / symptoms like ( postural hypo -tension, giddiness, dizziness or fainting, low energy & fatigue).
These patients do not need vigorous treatment .. But need home management & be under a doctor's observation.
* Your wife shows postural hypo-tension. Does she have other symptoms too? I would advise for her consultation by a physician
Doctor would take information about her health in past, family history, any bleeding episode she has( like profuse bleeding in menses in women ) history of viral or malarial fever or any long standing illness & treatment she had.. He / she would examine her physically to assess any probable cause ( anemia, low general condition, any heart problem ) .
He would order for investigations like Hb%, PS blood with typing of anemia, ECG, Echo cardiogram ... as per need& come to final diagnosis , followed by specific treatment. He may refer her to cardiologist if necessary.
* Management consists of the specific treatment of cause( as per diagnosis ) along with personal care,
* personal care.-
- Have a prescribed diet with high salt content.Take multiple small servings in place of two large ones.
- Drink lot of water & drinks (Fruit juices, soups ) with salt & sugar ( if not restricted )
- Stop alcohol & alcoholic beverages.
- Drink lot of fluids when ill with cold, viral fever.Avoid exposure to hot weather
-Get your over the counter medicines checked by doctor & be assured that they do not cause the symptoms )
- Do specific exercises to increase blood circulation,
for hard stools. - Be careful while changing position. Do it gradually & in steps ( like while rising from bed sit down in bed before you stand up. Be in standing position for some time, get adjusted & proceed to walk after that )
- Avoid weight lifting/ straining -
- Continue with medicines, life style changes suggested by your doctor,
* I would advise for a through health check up by a physician/ cardiologist of your wife. Take her to hospital for that. Follow the self care along with the treatment suggested by the doctor.
I hope you found the answer to be useful & informative,Any follow up query is welcome.
I request for grading the answer .. if you find it useful, before you close the query.
