What Does A CBC Blood Report Indicate?

Question: what does a cbc blood test tell a doctor?
Brief Answer:
CBC means Complete Blood Count.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query. CBC means Complete Blood Count.
Blood has two types of cells-the Red Blood Cells or RBC and the White Blood Cells or WBC. It also has platelets which help in the process of blood coagulation.
CBC gives the details of the RBC, WBC, platelets and the hemoglobin levels.
It helps in knowing whether any infection is present as WBC increases in response to infection. Treatment of Anemia can be planned according to the RBC and hemoglobin levels.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Thanks.
