I have uploaded the picture. The first one dint break and it subsided, but it still exists like a pebble. The second one, which has torn as you can see was just below the waist, where you buckle your jeans. i am also, having a small burning sensation near the tip of the skin near penis when it is enlarged. I had a prolonged history of fungal infection near the genitals when i was in hostel, but it has erupted again. This, along with the new developments is starting to drive me a bit off track. Please advice what could be the reason and suggested remedies.

Brief Answer: Folliculitis/psuedofolliculitis Detailed Answer: Hi. I would keep a possibility of folliculitis/pseudofolliculitis(which can happen after shaving). If I was the treating doctor I would have advised an oral antibiotic for a week (My choice of oral antibiotic would have been Amoxycillin 500mg in combination with clavulanic acid 125 mg, thrice daily for a week. One such combination is a popular brand marketed by XXXXXXX in India i.e Augmentin 625 mg). An OTC topical antibacterial e.g 2% Mupirocin twice daily can be applied over the boil. Along with oral antibiotics, it would hasten the resolution of infection. An OTC pain killer e.g Ibuprofen 400mg (bruffen tablets) twice or thrice daily, would provide symptomatic relief from pain and swelling. regards
