Brief Answer:
You need to consult your doctor if blood pressure at rest is above 140/ 90

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Blood pressure is the pressure with which blood flows through the arteries. It is recorded by measured by recording the pressure exerted by the flowing blood on the walls of the arteries.

2. Measurement of blood pressure is done after at least 30 minutes of physical and mental rest. This is to be measured on 3 subsequent days at the same time of the day and using the same machine. If the resting blood pressure is above 140/ 90 mm Hg on all three occasions then the parson can have a high blood pressure and requires detailed investigation.

3. If your blood pressure was between 130/ 90 mm Hg and 134/ 100 mm Hg when recorded after 30 minutes of physical and mental rest and at the same time on the day on different days then you need to consult your doctor and get a detailed evaluation considering your age at 36 years. Your doctor might suggest an ultrasound scan of abdomen and a kidney Doppler investigation if required.

If hypertension is confirmed then it can be controlled with a wide range of hypertensives. Your doctor will examine you and prescribe the one that suits you the best.

Hope your query is answered.
Please do write back if you have any doubts.
