What Does A Bulish Purple Spot On Bottom Lip Indicate?

I have on my bottom lip a spot that is blueing purple. I have had this a very long time. a Dr told me that if i press on it and since it would loose color then go back it could be a dialated blood vessel on my lip. Now on Friday night at 330am in the morning I wake up and felt a little lump/bump under that spot on my lip. This is on the bottom lip. During yesterday it seemed to go away then came back/weird but i was pushing on it today now it seems bigger. It does not hurt but I am having high anxiety as what this is and if it can be cancer. I don't smoke or do dip, I drink very little and I am 38 year old woman. I am really worried what this is. It kind of feels like a raised area under the spot on top of lip. this is not inside my mouth. i go to the dentist every 6 months. its not crusty or broke open and my lips are not crusty. scared!!
AV Malformation, Mucocele, MRI
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
From what I understand the bluish purple lump, I have two possibilities.
It can be a arterovenous malformation or a mucocele or fibroma.
Consult a oral physician and get it ruled out, based on your description and without examining clinically, it is difficult to give a proper diagnosis, So if you can send the images, I can give a proper diagnosis. If i am your treating doctor, I would suggest you to get a diascopy test, MRI of the lip to rule out the above mentioned conditions.
Based on the diagnosis we can treat accordingly. Based on the diagnosis we can manage it by either surgery or sclerosing agents.
If any queries are there reply me back.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.

fibrosed mucocele or AVM,
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for providing the images, It looks more like fibrosed mucocele. Consult a oral physician and get a diascopy test done and if it comes positive then it indicates its arterovenous malformation(AVM). If it is negative it indicates its a fibrosed mucocele or fibroma. Get it surgically removed if you are esthetically concerned.
Do complete blood investigations completely with BT, CT, INR before going to get it surgically removed.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.

non cancerous lesion, trauma, surgery
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply.
Nothing to panic, it is not a cancerous lesion, it is benign lesion.
It might have occured secondary to trauma by your teeth like lip biting.
If it is a mucocele, usually it ruptures by its own, then no need to get it removed.
if it is a fibroma or AV malformation, then you can get treated by surgery and sclerosing agents respectively.
I hope my answer will help you.
Take care
