Brief Answer:
This could be a sebaceous cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef, a general surgeon answering your query.

Even though it requires a physical examination of the bump to know the nearest diagnosis, yes, it could be a boil.Boil would give you pain due to inflammation/infection about which you did not mention in your query.

Presuming that there was no pain, the nearest diagnosis I would think of would be a sebaceous cyst, which is a benign cyst developing in the sweat forming glands, not uncommon in the penile and the scrotal skin. This could be diagnosed only after a physical examination. If diagnosed as a sebaceous cyst, I would advise you not to fiddle with it to avoid any chances of super added infection resulting in an abscess. Sebaceous cyst usually do not cause much problem unless they become bigger or get secondarily infected giving rise to pain and discharge if not treated. In both the latter instances, the treatment would be a minor surgery possibly under a local anaesthesia. Therfore, I would advise you to consult a general surgeon in your area, and get it clinically assessed for a proper management.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.

Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. I wish you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
