Brief Answer:
Astigmatism can be hereditary

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. A clinical examination would be necessary. However, probably the difference in size is congenital. I am doubtful if doing anything would really make a difference. You can wait and see if any change occurs (unlikely). Seeing a doctor would be advisable.

Astigmatism has genetic association and there is a possibility of it being passed on to your child. But the mentioned complaint has no association with it.

Let me know if I could help further.

Brief Answer:
A doctor would be able to examine and clear your doubts

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

I am not presuming a difference in size. You just mentioned about it. You can take the child to an ophthalmologist but that is to resolve your apprehension. I do not think that there would be anything that the doctor would be able to do. But I should not presume it. Since the doctor's visit is for resolution of your apprehension, the age of the child would hardly matter.
