What Does A Diffuse Increased Density Of The Osseous Calvarium Indicate?
There is no need to get alarmed.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your CAT scan details. Based on this, there is no need to worry. The findings suggest that skull bone is appearing thicker. In most cases, it is a normal variation.
In a small proportion of cases, who already have cancer of one part of body, skull bone can become thicker, if cancer from that part spreads to the skull bone. By doing the additional tests, your physician wants to exclude any cancer in other parts of body.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD (Internal Medicine), DM (Neurology) XXXXXXX Consultant Neurologist
