What Does A Dot In The Corner Of The Sclera Indicate?

This is very likely due to small vessels in the area and there is nothing to worry- detailed explanation below
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
By what you explain and by the fact that the dot does not cause you pain or problem with vision it is very likely nothing to worry.
The most common cause of the dots, if they are red, are if a tinny blood vessel under the layer of the eye bulb burst and this can happen by minor trauma and sometimes we do not know the reason why it happens but being small hemorrhages they are not dangerous, they cause no symptoms and heal in a week time.
So in your case, I would expect it to gradually fade in a week.
If the color of the dot is yellow than very likely it has been there for a long time and is due to the thickening of the conjunctiva (the upper layer or the eye bulb)- this is also not dangerous and there is nothing to worry.
This might persist for months and years and might get a bit bigger with time but will never cause you problems with vision or any eye pain.
So, I would say:
- if you have no pain in the eye and no vision changes there is nothing to worry about the dot you have in the eye.
- Try to avoid scratching the eyes as this might make more dots and red areas in the white of the eye due to small hemorrhages under the conjunctiva. They are not dangerous but can be concerning to patients.
- If you have pain or vision changes with the appearance of the dot (which is very unlikely by what you explain)
- still for safety please see your doctor in case of pain or vision changes so you can rule out more important eye conditions.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
