What Does A Drop In ALT Levels Indicate?

Question: This is a continuation of a previous long string of questions with Dr. Benard Shehu. I just uploaded new blood tests that I ordered from Quest Diagnostics on 10/01/2016, (my current doctor wanted to wait until mid December) that show the AST dropping from a high 50 on 8/09/16 to a very good 29; the ALT dropped from 113 to 59. Glucose dropped from 101 to 93. Because I stopped taking Crestor 20 mg back on 8/30/2016, my Total cholesterol has risen from 224 to 263. What is your opinion of these results?

Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.
Your results are very promising. Liver enzymes and glucose levels are low at optimal levels.
However the increase in cholesterol levels is the only thing to worry about. If you were my patient I would recommend to start again Crestor 10mg to help you to decrease cholesterol levels.
Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!

Yes, it helps a lot and certainly makes me feel much better about my liver health. In the 32 days before this new blood test, where I had given up Crestor/alcohol and sugary drinks, I had been quite worried and concerned.
Thank you for all of your advice.
