What Does A Dull Pain Around The Clitoris Suggest?

default
Posted on Tue, 12 May 2015
Question: Hi, I've been having a dull pain that comes and goes around my clitoris. Also my clitoris has been very itchy off and on. I've also had the full cranky aches you get when you feel like you're on your period. I'm not sexually active and haven't been so for three years so I know it's not an std. It all pretty much started when I turned 32 this year. I'm not really sure what it is. To make it clear though this is only affecting the clitoris itself - everything else around my vagina is fine.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to leukorrhea.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The dull ache and itchy feeling around clitoris can be due to sensitivity or due to a fungal infection. This can be due to a close shaving or wearing rough clothes.
Regarding the treatment you can do the following things-
1.Avoid irritation of the genital organs caused by various factors such as dirt, soiled under garments, intestinal worms and excessive mental stimulation of sex or masturbation.
2. One of the things you can add to your daily diet is a banana that is dipped in clarified butter or ghee. This should be eaten with breakfast and lunch.
3. Increase your intake of cranberry juice. This juice has quite a number of properties that are good for women.
4.You might have to take antifungal drugs orally along with these remedies to get relief.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

Thank you, I don't think it's an infection - the itch comes and goes and it's only on the very tip of my clitoris no where else - which I find odd. Also is it normal to have symptoms of your period even after you've already had it come and go? I will try what you suggested - I hope it gets rid of the dull ache - I'm really not sure why it's started as I've not had any major changes in the way of clothing - washing materials and habits or detergents when cleaning my clothes, based on that information alone do you I should try and see a doctor? Or just follow your suggestions.

Also I looked up what you thought it may be. I have no unusual discharge everything is normal aside from the ache and the occasional intense itch at the very tip of my clitoris.
