Brief Answer:
no cancer.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are growth on tonsil. i would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any difficulty in swallowing ?
Is it one sided ?

Kindly get back to me with the details and photo of the growth.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be tonsillar hypertrophy.

Tonsillar hypertrophy, common with allergy or asthma, which is always painless. Do not worry, It is not a cancer. Tonsillar cancer is uncommon in your age.

I suggest you to do salt water gargling, take anti allergic medications like tab.citrizine 10mg (over the counter tab.zyrtec) one tab at bed time.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Your photo is not clear (need light and magnification). Anyways, I can see bilateral hypertrophy (both tonsills), could not make their color (congestion).

Kindly follow the instructions and medications, what I have already mentioned.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.
