Need more information, Possibility of Bowen's

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have looked at the picture.

I could see that it is a raised red colored, well demarcated, scaly lesion with an irregular border. I would keep a possibility of either Discoid dermatitis OR Bowen's Disease(Intraepithelial/carconoma in situ)

I would like to gather some more information from you in order to be able to help you better.

--Is the lesion Itchy?Or is it Asymptomatic?

regards

Brief Answer:
Possibility of Bowen's disease

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I would suggest that you get it Biopsied for Histopathological confirmation of diagnosis.

Bowen's disease(intraepithelial neoplasia/carcinoma in situ) has a 3%-5% chance of developing into invasive squamous cell carcinoma.

Treatment options are:
-Cryotherapy
-Curettage with Cautery
-5-Fluorouracil
-CO2 Laser
-Excision

Crytherapy is an effective option and commonly used.

I would suggest that you see a dermatologist. Your dermatologist might ask you to get a skin biopsy for a confirmatory histopathological diagnosis. Subsequently you could get it freezed with liquid nitrogen.
