What Does A Low Resting Heart Rate Suggest?

EKG to look for block or arrhythmia
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Bradycardia or a low heart rate is considered when the rate is below 60 beats per minute. However , transient drops in heart rate are common and health machines alone are not adequate evidence to reach a diagnosis of bradycardia especially if you don't have any symptoms like confusion, shortness of breath, hypotension or chest pain.
To be more sure an EKG should be done to look for or rule out serious causes associated with a lowered heart rate such as an arrhythmia or heart block. If none are found and the heart rate is lower than 60 then its likely to be sinus bradycardia. Atropine or pacemaker may be required in symptomatic patients. In asymptomatic patients, with no ECG abnormality, normal oximetry and Blood pressure , no treatment is required. Reassurance alone will suffice.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
