What Does A Patch Of Rough Skin On Labia And Vagina Indicate?
Question: I have a small patch of what I can only describe as raised rough skin on my labia minora near to the opening of my vagina. It does not itch or sore in any way but I know it is something that I do not normally have. Your help would be very grateful for your opinion.
Brief Answer:
Can be due to dermatitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
A small patch of raised rough skin with no pain or itching can be due to local dryness or dermatitis or a local fungal infection. It is not likely to be something serious. You can apply aloe vera gel on the area and see if it helps.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.

Thank you. Your assistance is much appreciated. On closer examination I have noticed that the raised area is white in colour. Is this consistent with dermatitis or fungal infection?
