What Does A Skin Colored Pimple On The Scrotum Suggest?
Question: I have a skin colored mark or pimple like on the top portion of my scrotum near the base of my penis. I had it there for over 5 years. Just recently I shaved and it became very irritated and inflamed .. It's itchy and burns. I have had numerous blood tests over the past 4 years with negative results. Been to a urologist. I am a heavy sweater diagnost with a sweat problem. When it stopped itchy it fades away in my hair so I shaved again in the area now it's irretated again.. I am also hypercondriac. One point I was diagnost with procatitus .. Is this a wart or skin problem from my sweating. It never opens up or scabs over like a sore? My wife just had a paps with a negative result again just to add in. I just keep thinking about it. It's. Making it worst
Brief Answer:
It can be most likely a Fordyce spot.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely a Fordyce spot. If you send a picture it will be more helpful in identifying.
Fordyce spots are harmless. They are just visible sebaceous glands. It will be more evident in sweaty or greasy environment. Taking more garlic and anti oxidants will be helpful to get rid off this.
If that is not helping tretinoin cream locally also is helpful. Use loose cotton underwear. Remove sweaty cloths in time.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

From your picture it looks like wart. It is better to consult a dermatologist to confirm this out and to manage it.
For this application of imiquimod 5% cream or applying podifilox 0.5 % solution is helpful.
If that is not helpful then you can go for cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.

Brief Answer:
Genital warts are contageous but not must that it should spread.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for your follow up query.
Although genital warts are contageous it is not must that it should spread to your partner. There are so many cases that one partner having this and another not. Also HPV can also be negative even though having warts.
It is better to confirm it by showing your dermatologist. He/she may need to confirm by biopsy in case of uncertainty in diagnosis.
Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
