What Does A Small Bump On Penis Indicate?

Question: I have a small bump on the head of my penis that has shown up within the last week. I am not sure what it is. Could you provide some insight on what it might be? I am a sexually active 26 year old.

Thanks for your query,based on the facts and photograph that you have posted it appears that you have infection of Glans Penis (Ballanitis) mostly due to dry sex

I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your
problem.
1) Does this occurs after sex?
2) Do you have any urinary symptoms associated with bump?

Please get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like
Nitrofurantoin twice daily and topical antibiotic ointment for local application..Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to clean your genitals every day with warm water.

Did you have unprotected sex with woman not known about her STD or HIV status.

Based on photograph it does not seem to be STD.However you can get basic tests for STD and HIV done to be rest assured about acquiring the same ,
