What Does A Small Lump Inside The Elbow Indicate?
any bigger but it does cause numbness and pain in the arm sometime (feels like pulled muscle). The lump is soft and moveable. Could the lump be a small Lipoma, or maybe a swollen Lymph node. Your expert advice please
Ultrsonography and guided FNAC.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Noted your Medical history of pre-diabetic and Arthritis, and the present history too.
This is a very typical question, location of the swelling you have noted.
Makes me think of Lipoma as the first diagnosis obviously
But.
The exact location makes me think of other probable cause of a lymph node. Soft and movable.
The best way is to have high resolution ultrasonography and FNAC under guidance of ultrasonography to get exact diagnosis of whether it is a Lipoma or a lymph node.
Some patients of arthritis can get this Lymph node.
FNAC=fine needle aspiration cytology will help the proper diagnosis, and if required this can be excised in-toto to get a histopathological diagnosis..
