What Does A Small Pink Bump On Nipple Indicate?
Question: I have a small light red pinkish bump on my nipple of the left breast since a few months now. I don't have any other asymmetries in the breasts. Could this be due to a hormonal treatment that I have been undergoing for IVF preparation since 6 months ago? Otherwise, I had a fibroid in my left breast a few years ago when I did all the checks, including byopsy, and there was nothing serious found. Could hormonal treatment provoke for my fibroid to turn into something more serious? Otherwise, what does this mean?
Brief Answer:
needs physical examination
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Its unlikely for the fibroid to undergo any changes. Also hormonal treatment is also not likely to cause anything like that.
That bump is only at the skin or deep inside?
Is there any lump inside your breast near that bump, apart from that fibroid?
If both above answers are no, then it can be XXXXXXX tubercles which are normal, and can increase in size following hormonal treatment.
Still, better to show it to a surgeon or gynecologist for a physical examination to help reach a diagnosis.
Hope, i have been helpful.

According to the mammography screening results, there is no lump inside. Can XXXXXXX tubercles be there even if you are not pregnant and never had a child? Is there any treatment for this or will it go away (provided it is XXXXXXX tubercles) once I finish the hormonal treatment?
Brief Answer:
yes they can, following hormones
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
If on mammogram there is no lump then you need not worry.
Then there is more possibility of it being a XXXXXXX tubercle only. And though they appear in later stages of pregnancy due to hormonal affect, those hormones you are already taking for the treatment, so it can appear even now. And they would go after the treatment is over.
