What Does A Weird Sensation In The Ears Indicate?

default
Posted on Wed, 8 Mar 2017
Question: I have a sensation in my ear that feels like an insect crawling around. It feels like little feet moving around at the opening of the ear canal. Initially it felt like a long hair pointing down the canal and ticking my ear. Most noticeable at bed XXXXXXX Have had my wife look and she sees nothing that would cause this sensation. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
dry wax in the canal

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having a dry wax in external ear canal. This might cause sensation of something moving around. Needs clinical evaluation and treatment. Empirically you can use ear drops containing liquid paraffin. If symptoms persists, then please consult with your doctor and get evaluated. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
