What Does Absence Of Yolk Sac In An Ultrasound During 4 Weeks Of Pregnancy Indicate?

Question: im pregnant and my LMP was april 15 which puts me at 4 weeks and 6 days. i had my first scan today and all they saw was a gestational sac measuring 10.5mm but no yolk sac. my doctor said this was normal and was too early to see anything but jam still panicking!

I just uploaded my scan to you. I am crying because I'm worried about a blighted ovum. This is my first pregnancy and all my family have had Normal pregnancies but I am just so worried because I've heard of these things. I'm 30 years old with regular periods.

I saw the ultrasound film. It looks like a healthy sac.

Repeat ultrasound after one week.
If you do not want to wait, you have another option. Do quantitative Beta HCG now and repeat after 48 hours. If you see an increase of about 66% and above then it is a healthy pregnancy.
