Mri is not used for epilepsy evaluation, but it is very sensitive test for various brain disorders such as multiple sclerosis, parkisnon, diffuse neural diseases, timors and many others. Also,some epilepsies may cause brain changes which are visible on mri. Wish you good health. Regards
