What Does An Anterior Pillar Bump Near The Tonsils Indicate?

Question: Hi Doctor, I have seen specialist and had a CT done of my chest and xrays of my head and CT and no one is concern with the Anterrior pillar bump right next to my tonsils. I don't know what it is and it has been around for 20 years or more in that location. I have take a picture you will notice raise tissue on the pillar lower.
Brief Answer:
If it hasn't changed for so many years, then it is nothing to worry about.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The extra tissue is well visible. If it hasn't changed for so many years, then it is nothing to worry about.
Sometimes our bodies react with an overgrowth of tissue (especially the adipose tissue), but if it is not continuing to grow, of it not bothering you, then you just need to keep it under observation and not worry.
If it starts growing, or you see others appearing then you need to do another consultation. I doubt it though because 20 years it is a long time to rule out possible cancer.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

have you seen others with growth like this? I was told it was tonilant remnant. Could that be?
Brief Answer:
Yes, and it is perfectly normal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yes, that could be. I have seen different shapes and sizes of tonsils. They may have wholes, tissue that goes out of their normal shape like the one you have, and still be perfectly normal.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
