I had gone through your question and u can understand your concern
I have few patients in my clinic those you are taking hydroxyurea with good results

To help you better i would like further information like
1. What for she was prescribed hydroxyurea
2. If you can upload me whole blood report i will be able to assess her disease well

It could be die to treatment failure or inadequate doses of hydrea
There are number of other alternatives are also available in market with good results so if you can tell me about her diagnosis I will definitely suggest you good alternative of hydroxyurea

Brief Answer:
Please upload her blood reports, it could be due to treatment failure.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thanks for your reply.

Hydroxyurea is indicated in essential thrombocytosis to reduce the cell count so it could be due to treatment failure.

There are chances of transformation into acute leukemia like AML even with the use of hydroxyurea in young patients.

Her breathlessness and lightheadedness are a matter of concern.
In my opinion, she should consult a haematologist to rule out acute leukemia or other alternative treatment for ET like interferon alfa and anagrelide

If you can tell me about her age and upload us the blood reports I will be able guide you even better.

Thanks.

Hope this answers your question
further questions are most welcome
