Brief Answer:
Neurodegenrative sign

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Perivascular space also called Virchow–Robin spaces (VRS) are fluid-filled canals that surround perforating arteries and veins in the parenchyma of the brain.

Presence of prominent asymmetric (one sided) perivascular space in the brain indicate neurodegenrative condition. Such defects can appear anywhere in the brain and when occur at around lentiform nucleus can result in dementia, insomnia and many non specific symptoms. There can also be motor weakness as the lentiform nucleus is involved in motor skills.

The cause for the same is difficult to identify, the management involves neuroprotective medications and supplements like Multivitamins, pregabalin etc which help in nerve parts regeneration.

Hope, I answered your query.

Wish you good health.

regards,
