What Does Bleeding After Taking Emergency Contraceptives Indicate?

Question: period ended on thursday 2nd april, had unprotected sex (pull out method) on friday and took an emergency contraceptive pill 30 minutes after; had unprotected sex (pull out method) 3 more times after having the pill. Last time i had sex was on Saturday, its now Tuesday and I seem to be having my period again only after a week; the period is heavy and seems just like normal so i don't think its minor vaginal bleeding; what could be the cause?
Brief Answer:
withdrawal bleeding after ipill intake
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic.
This is a withdrawal bleeding after ipill intake and is just like your periods dear.
It is common and thus nothing to worry.
There was no need to take ipill because just after periods there is no egg in female body to meet with sperm and form a baby.
Now in future either use a condom or take oral pills instead of repeated intake of ipill which can cause severe derangement of periods and also increases the risk of tubal ectopic pregnancy.
Right now nothing to worry, there is no risk of pregnancy.
Take care

Thank you so much! I was really worried something was wrong. How long does the bleeding usually last just so I know to see my GP if the bleeding persists for too long.
Brief Answer:
2-4 days
Detailed Answer:
This is your normal period so can last till 3-4 days but may stop after 2 days too because you just had your initial original period a week back.
Most probably you won't need to go to the doctor.
